Something about the Break-up Season...

"All sound has died out, and the cold, dark night fills the room. Unable to get to sleep, holding on to the covers. Suddenly, that's when it strikes, as if your chest is being squeezed and wanted to cry. A painful and uneasy feeling. From the depths of the heart, a thing called "loneliness" will come
- From Boys Be... (Episode 10-Autumn Chapter Episode 3:Solitary Cross)

Within this week, two of my close friends just declared that they are indeed breaking up with their respective partners. It made me wonder again, that a “break-up season” might exist. I made a web search and found a number of articles about the unofficial “break-up season”.

Study shows that the period after the December Holidays and before Valentine’s day are when people considers more in breaking up with their partners than any other time of the year. It is said that the reason why this happens is because people tend to put off breaking up with their partners to spare the possible pain and resentment of their ex loves during the holiday season. We all have this idea of spending Christmas and New Years with smiles on our face and breaking up with someone during this period is believed to be cruel, spiteful and inappropriate.

I hope couples will get by this season...
